I am not one of those people that goes in for making New Years resolutions. I just don't see the point in the process. That, however, does not mean that I don't have things I want to accomplish in the next year. In fact, I am a big believer in making plans. That is the way that I make art and in many ways the way I live. You make a plan, then you work the plan. But, every plan must leave space for the unforeseen, the "happy accident" and the sharp right turn. You have to be willing to abandon the plan entirely if a better one arises. I have plans for next year, big ones, but I also know their main purpose is to hold the space for a process, even if that process is completely different than the one envisioned.
